On the Horizon: Trent and Mersey Canal, Long Eaton to Willington

Finding ourselves having to go up to Nottingham this weekend, we decided to fit some canal walking in while we were up there and start walking another of England's majestic inland waterways

Just Visiting: Glastonbury Tor

I have very nostalgic feelings toward Glastonbury Tor and the town of Glastonbury. I lived there for nearly two years whilst I was growing up and frequently made the climb to the top of the Tor to enjoy the views on a nice day. Severn Beach to Bristol, Part 1

Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal: Crickhowell to Pontypool, Part 2

The downpour continues in Part 2 of Crickhowell to Pontypool. We were just over halfway and soaking wet. Heading off from Llanfoist Wharf (our location at the end of Part 1) we battled on though the weather which seemed to be getting worse by the minute. We were still able to take in the views of … Continue reading Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal: Crickhowell to Pontypool, Part 2

Bugs II

Last weekend we visited the Wye Valley Butterfly Zoo and I couldn't resist taking a few snaps. It had some fantastic specimens of all different sizes and colours and is home to a dedicated conservation programme. Hope you enjoyed these. They are such beautiful creatures. Thanks for stopping by. More walking adventures coming very shortly. … Continue reading Bugs II
