On the Horizon: Frome Valley Walkway

This weekend we will be completing the Frome Valley Walkway (almost) in it’s entirety. Selected partly for convenience if I’m being completely honest, this popular local trail follows the River Frome from Castle Park in the centre of busy Bristol through some of its many suburbs and into the Cotswold hills to its source.

Although will not be completing the entire 18 mile route to the source, the trail itself runs just metres away from our house in Chipping Sodbury, South Gloucestershire where will end our days walking at roughly the 15 mile point.

This promises to be one of our more urban walks due to its location. There is a huge amount of history surrounding Bristol and the locations along the route and I am anticipating enjoying places that would be totally unnoticeable when driving through the area.

We will post our experience of the route in due course.

If you didn’t see the amazing scenery from our most recent post of the Stratford-Upon-Avon Canal towpath walk or our visit there, please find these here.

Keep an eye on our Instagram and Twitter on Saturday for live snaps of the route.

Keep Exploring!

Best Regards,

Adam & Harriet
